Avril here with another update! I’m still looking for my forever home and can’t believe nobody has snatched me up yet! I’m doing so well in my foster home and have impressed everyone with my house manners. I’ve almost got this potty training thing down pat and hardly have accidents anymore. I love my house (crate) and I go right in when my foster mom tells me to “go in my house”. It’s full of nice, soft blankets.
I play like crazy and love to go for walks and run in the yard. My leash manners are pretty good, I don’t pull much with an easy walk harness and only get excited when I see another dog who’s excited to see me too! Otherwise, I don’t pay too much attention to them; I’d rather sniff everything around me. My playmates keep me busy at home and I’ve learned how to relax a lot more…snuggling is actually pretty nice! I’m sure your house has something that just might be a me-shaped hole, so let’s meet!
It’s me again, Avril! I’m happy to tell you that I’ve found a foster home. I’ve been there for a couple of weeks, and Paws and I are continuing to learn a lot about each other! Home life is pretty cool. I’m not really a couch potato; I like to keep myself fit and healthy by running and playing constantly. That being said, with enough exercise I will enjoy some down time with you and hang out for a snuggle. Paws wasn’t sure if I was housebroken or not, and truth be told, I’m not really sure either! I get let outside regularly, and as long as I have those frequent trips outside, I don’t have any accidents. If my foster mom waits too long though, it’s too late to ask before I realize I gotta go! Now that we’ve learned this, she makes sure I get frequent trips and go out very first thing in the morning, and we’ve been great ever since!
I have been successfully introduced to a couple of dogs in my foster home, although I’ve demonstrated that I can be quite picky with my playmates. I get overly excited over small things like cats and rabbits so a home with small animals including small dogs aren’t an option for me. Once I settled in with my housemates though, we actually discovered that I’m a polite player, although I don’t always clue in that the senior dogs can’t play as long as I can. I still need to work on my manners when I meet dogs though.
At night I sleep in a crate quietly. My foster mom tried having me loose, but I didn’t appreciate the other dogs disrupting my beauty sleep. My crate is way better because it’s my own space and since I’m so energetic during the day, I need my rest!!
It’s exciting that Paws is learning more about me, but I really still want to find my forever home. If I sound like a good fit to your family, fill out an application for me! I promise to be your best friend for life.
